Visual Brainteasers 2
So our new series on visual brain teasers continues here with installment #2. Try out these challenges when you have a bit of spare time...I think you'll find them quite enjoyable!
Take six coins (pennies, quarters, whatever you have...but all must be the same kind of coin) and arrange them in a triangle as shown below. Now, rearrange the coins into a hexagon with just four moves. Every move you make can consist ONLY of sliding one coin to a new location where it touches at least two other coins.
Note: Be careful when sliding coins so you don't push or rearrange other coins unintentionally.
Friends with Rope
For a good challenge, get two pieces of short rope or string (4 feet each should be just fine). Tie the rope/string around you and your friends wrists as shown....and interlocked. Now, see if you can get free from your friend without untying the ropes from your wrists. There is a video below that shows the solution should you need help. I did ;).
Not a Nickel Coin Mystery
You have two coins totaling 55 cents. If one of the coins is not a nickel, what are the coins?
Enjoying the brain teasers? Look for the next installment soon...
