Who Doesn't Love Brunch?
For many-a-late-riser the blend of breakfast and lunch....BRUNCH...is a truly wonderful thing. Heck, even if you get up early, you can snack a bit...and still make brunch the first real meal of the day. Not for weekdays (unless you're retired), a great brunch is hard to beat. And that's why an upcoming event called Brunch Village is getting ink from us here today. Brought to Portland by Bon Appetit Magazine and presented by Bob's Red Mill, this Feast Portland event is set to happen at Pioneer Courthouse Square on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Essentially a large pop-up of brunch tastiness, Brunch Village will feature 13 chefs from all over the region (PDX and Seattle primarily). Further, donut shops, wineries and distilleries will have their presence too, offering up some excellent ways to add to the savory delights. NOTE: This event, like all Feat Portland events, is 21 and over only and you must have valid I.D.
Now...we don't usually spend a great deal of money for breakfast. We are used to spending a little more on brunch, of course, as it's a far less frequent event. That said, the Brunch Village event is going to be a bit harder on the pocket book at $95 per person. Yikes...I know...you may be asking yourself, "Just how much brunch can I really eat???" Well, this special event will be a true, culinary celebration featuring some of the best late morning/just-past-noon food ever created. You can probably do so well at this event that dinner that evening may be largely moot. Based on the chef list, I really think it'll be worth it.
